Day 13: The English Garden and a Beer Garden

Today is Sunday and nothing is open.  Only gas stations, resturants and some bars. We got up and it was a nice sunny day so we went to the English Garden. It is a large park in the middle of Munich.  There were a lot of people there because there is not much else to do on Sunday and it was such a nice day. One of the big attractions is the Chines Tower. They have beer gardens around it, small food stands and a band playing. It was very festive. Lots of kids, dogs, and parents. We walked for a while in the park and just had a look around. It sure is nice to be out in the fresh air with no snow or bugs.

After the park we went to where Octoberfest is held. I could not beleive how huge it is. I really think that I could get lost if I were to attend that.

Then we went to one of the nicest beer gardens in Munich. I had one of their large beers, and a huge pretzel. The Germans really like their pretzels. They have a lot of different kinds and are all very different from the ones I have had, even from the ones we used to have in Fl.

Again it was a great day.

Tonight I went to bed just after 10:30. I think that it had something to do with the late nights on the weekend.
