Probably the most famous of Ludwig's castles is Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein is the castle used by Disney for many of their fairy tale castles. Americans know it as the Cinderela Castle. Part of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie were made on the castle grounds.

Right across from Neuschwanstein is Hohenschwangau. A more traditional, less gaudy, castle. It was the home of Ludwig's family and where he grew up.
