Fredrick and Cheryl go to the City of Passau
Fredrick and Cheryl took a short trip to the city of Passau. Passau is a very old city at the meeting of three rivers. The Ils, the Inn and the Danube (Donau).
We first had lunch at a little Bistro right beside City Hall with a view of the ships passing by on the Danube.
Next we klimbed up to the old 12th century castle on the peninsula formed by the Ils and the Danube. From there we had a grand view of the city and the three rivers as they meet and their different waters merge.
Later we drove back into the city of Passau to look at the Cathedral of St. Stephen that is home to the second largest organ in the world.(The largest being a new one they put up in Los Angelas - very much to the chargrin of the Passauers).
